Ascend: Hell Climber is the first graphic novel in a trilogy by Thomas Pringle, concept artist in the film and game industry (A Quiet Place, Star Trek Discovery, Transformers, Pet Sematary, Neuromancer, Mass Effect, Bioshock). With story editing by Steve Spencer Baker (Slabscape series, Tomato creative collective).
The survivors of a downed patrol ship have only one hope of escape: Steal a shuttle from the highest level of an ancient defense tower. But the towers are now home to the mutants and outcasts who were left to rot in the toxic wasteland.
The book runs at 11×8” 92 pages in hardcover, signed and numbered by the artist and is inspired by sci-fi films such as Outland and Alien as well as the Heavy Metal magazine stories of the 1970’s and ’80s.
